The old King's Daughters Hospital or the Delta Regional Medical Center's West Campus as it is known today will be the home of the Mississippi Delta Family Medicine Residency program and continuity clinic. On January 29, 2020 the Family Medicine program received Initial Accreditation status from the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). This will be the first GME training program developed under the guidance and leadership of the Mississippi Medical Education and Research Consortium (MS MERC). The plan is to begin training its first residents in family medicine July 1, 2020. Additional faculty and staff will be added as the GME program develops.
